Not your every day Gift

I became aware of the company through Facebook, where I was attracted to the site because we love candles in our home. However our usual purchases were your expensive smells that only last for a little while or whilst burning them.

I thought I would support Dave and his little enterprise. I expected something different, but, the ease of looking through their online catalogue and paying for our order was easy to navigate.

The arrival. Well, apart from candles, I wasn’t expecting to open the box, where the candles were loving packed so they would not arrive damaged, then the beautiful smell of honey, not wax, but pure honey was mind blowing, loved them instantly. You can be 4-5 feet away and still smell that lovely honey.

The attention to details with the cards, letter and how to correctly lite and extinguish the candles, showed me the next level of customer experience.

They are a perfect compliment to the living room, dining room or bathroom, you will not be disappointed. They are also a great gift for someone with everything.

The sustainability though gone into this is brilliant, because for my purchase, they will be planting a tree, outstanding.

It doesn’t burn

This is a replacement as the first candle just burned a very small amount in the middle of the candle. The new candle goes out shortly after lighting. This is a waste of lots of beeswax.

Sorry you’re unhappy with this candle. Our test burn over four days proved the candle performs well. I have offered you a full refund and have now made an instruction video from the test burn that can be seen on our how to page.

For anyone else who is unsure how to care for a beeswax pillar candle, check out our How to page!

No.

Some see selling honey as exploitation — we see it as a partnership.

We practise ethical beekeeping that supports wild pollinators, strengthens local ecosystems, and helps protect bee populations threatened by habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. In our hives, the bees always come first: queens’ wings are never clipped, swarming is allowed, and the bees keep the vast majority of their honey. The small surplus we harvest funds their care and conservation, helping us maintain healthy, thriving colonies that pollinate the plants we all depend on.

Our apiaries are limited to a maximum of four colonies per well-stocked acre to avoid competition with wild pollinators. At our Steart site, we’ve reduced this to just two colonies due to local ecological pressures.

We’re committed to raising awareness of the challenges facing wild pollinators — from habitat loss and the decline of wildflower meadows to the scarcity of safe, chemical-free forage. We plant for all pollinators and leave parts of our garden to grow wild, and we encourage you to do the same.

Can I visit Cox’s Farm?

We don’t have a physical shop you can visit. All our honey and products are available online, so you can enjoy them delivered straight to your door.

Is honey safe to consume during pregnancy?

Raw honey – it’s ok for you to eat honey, but you should NOT give it to your baby until they’re over a year old.
