Luxurious full frame of floral comb honey - with wooden stand

One teaspoon of pure Somerset honey is made from approximately 336,000 flower visits.

  • Raw honey, extracted using traditional methods at room temperature.
  • Minimally filtered - twice filtered under gravity - not pressure fed.
  • Produced by our own bees - NOT IMPORTED!

Our honey, contains all the natural enzymes and anti-microbial goodness that nature intended because we take time and care, using a traditional but time consuming method which ensures that none of the enzymes are killed and we retain the potency of this liquid gold.

We never take more honey than any one colony can spare - we ensure they have enough of their own superfood to last them through Winter and into Spring before we harvest again. While this means our stocks are smaller than industrial scale bee-farming, our bees are all the more, healthier and more resistant to disease because of this. We limit our apiary sizes to four colonies per well stocked acre. While this makes more work for us, it is healthier for our bees and is less competition for wild pollinators. You can taste the difference in our honey.

Raw honey should not be fed to infants under 12 months old.

Eco-friendly gifts that show you care. We plant a tree with every order on your behalf.

Beeswax is edible, and it is packed full of vitamins and nutrients. The whole honeycomb can be eaten. That includes the waxy cells and the honey inside of it. This is called comb honey, and it is considered a natural delicacy. Alternatively, it can be chewed releasing the honey and the wax saved for candle making.

The comb is exactly as the bees made it with honey inside the edible wax comb. Brimming with natural flavours from gardens throughout Somerset, made by bees in Somerset and packaged right here on Cox's Farm. Nothing added, nothing removed!
