Yemen - Sidr Honey
Organic Sidr Honey, a treasure of nature, known for its energy-boosting properties and its ability to strengthen the immune system. This authentic Sidr honey is derived from the Sidr trees (Ziziphus spina-christi) that grow in the fertile valleys of Wadi Do'an, Hadramout in Yemen.
Yemeni Sidr honey is considered one of the most prized and rare types of honey in the world. Here's what makes it so special:
1. Origin of the Sidr Tree
Sidr honey comes from bees that pollinate the Sidr tree (Ziziphus spina-christi), a wild and ancient tree native to Yemen (especially the Hadramaut region).
The tree is considered sacred in many cultures and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries.
2. Unique Taste & Aroma
Sidr honey has a rich, complex flavour — deeply sweet, slightly herbal, with hints of caramel and spice. Its luxurious texture and aromatic profile make it very different from commercial honeys.
3. Rare and Seasonal
The Sidr tree blooms only once or twice a year.
Beekeepers use traditional, chemical-free methods, often in remote and rugged terrain, making production limited and labor-intensive.
No pesticides or machinery are used, preserving its purity.
4. Medicinal Properties
* Sidr honey is highly valued in traditional Yemeni and Islamic medicine.
* It's believed to have strong antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory effects.
* Used to support immunity, aid digestion, treat wounds, and even support fertility.
5. One of the World’s Most Expensive Honeys
* Due to its rarity, labor-intensive harvesting, and health benefits, authentic Yemeni Sidr honey can sell for **hundreds of dollars per kilo**.
* It's often gifted or used medicinally, rather than as a table honey.
Raw honey should not be fed to infants under 12 months old.

Are your products Vegan?
No.
Vegans believe to harvest honey and other bee produced products is cruel, however substitute products classed as vegan are often from very questionable sources (research soy beans, GM soy bean crops, Glyphosate and deforestation).
While it is true selling products produced by bees for profit can be considered exploitation...
We are ethical, bee-centric beekeepers. Our Queens wings are never clipped, allowing them to swarm should the colony decide.
Our bees take priority when it comes to retaining their honey we never take more honey than any one colony can spare and ensure there is enough of their own honey in periods of poor weather, rain and winter.
We don’t harvest royal jelly.
Our Apiaries are limited to a maximum of four colonies to any one well stocked acre. This means more work and expense for us but helps mitigate pressure for resources on wild pollinators. Our Apiary in Steart is now limited to two colonies due to the pressure on pollinators.
We work hard to raise awareness of the plight of wild pollinators, suffering from lack of habitat, loss of wildflower meadows, lack of safe chemical-free food. We plant for all pollinators and leave areas of garden to go wild and encourage you to do the same.
If you are vegan, I salute you for putting Animal welfare above all else, but please do steer clear of US Soy bean crops.
Here's a vegan honey recipe I found, obviously won't be as good as honey from the bees and unfortunately, it does use white granulated sugar... The British Sugar Industry has lined the pockets of successive governments for decades in order to keep using the very Neonicotionoids that have caused the insect apocalypse, anyway enjoy:
